I went out after school and got the boat in the water at Hamurana about 3:30. 4 boat trailers were at the ramps and saw 2 boats at Hamurana. I did a beat there with a traffic light lure then trolled down towards the pins. I changed the tackle to the 'Rotorua Special' on a deep water express with a couple of colours, trolling in about 7m and caught a nice 3lb hen.

Things had been a bit slow the last few trips, so this was nice. She put up a nice fight and I was pleased to get in the boat. Trolled for a little longer, then headed for home. Only need 1 for a feed so smoked trout is on for tomorrow night.
