I have sold off my old dinghy and bought another boat that is more suitable for what I want to do. It is a fibreglass tri hull (boston whaler type) 3.1 metres long that is a lot more stable.
I have kept my little 4HP outboard and that works OK at the moment. With a few more horses, the boat would plane along nicely.
