Just some pictures of my boat with a new coat of paint on the hull. It is fibre glass, but I gave it a good clean and sand and then applied 2 coats of good exterior enamal paint. It has been in the water about 4 or 5 times since it has been painted and it seems to be ’sticking’ all right.
The morning that I took these photos, I had gone onto Lake Rotorua Fishing. I managed to land 2 small trout, but released them back into the lake. I also failed to land another 2, one which looked like a nice fish. It is still cold out in the mornings but the weather is warming up.

Here a a few pics of my son's First Jet boat.
He built this himself with no plans, just an idea in his head. It is a steel hull powered by a Falcon 4.1L motor through a 2 stage jet unit.

You can see the name of his business on the wall in the photo above. It is based in Reporoa, just south of Rotorua, New Zealand.

I managed to do a swap on my little 4HP outboard for a Yamaha 8HP. :) It comes with a 25litre fuel tank which gives me many trips out fishing. Real easy to start and very quiet when running.
This gives me a nice trolling speed plus it gets up on the plane with me onboard and will zip along at about 20 - 25kmh.

This is a picture of my first boat. It was a 4m sailing boat, but I stripped it back so that I could use it for trout fishing.
